Research Method Applied Kinesiology
Research Method covers research designs, measurement theory, evaluating research quality, reliability, validity, sampling, and scientific writing principles specific to Kinesiology.
Applied Biomechanics
Applied Biomechanics provide advanced knowledge in kinetics, kinematics and mechanical properties of tissues in order to provide an understanding of the function of the human body. Current scientific literature will be used to teach evidence-based approaches to perform data collection, analysis, and interpretation for clinical or research biomechanical purposes. Emphasis will be placed on motion analysis, ground reaction forces, and electromyography.
Measurement Techniques and Instrumentation
Measurement Techniques and Instrumentation covers using equipment common in the fields of biomechanics, exercise physiology and motor control. The course will expose students to both theory and practical application of using equipment for the purpose of measuring human movement.
